Children`s Safety matters
I would like to put up a lawn sign about drivers slowing down for a few reasons: The first reason is their are so many children that play and cars drive fast sometimes without looking and I just want to remind them to slow down and look. The second reason is I have an autistic son that even though we watch him, he can get away and run out into the parking lot without understanding the dangers. I would leave the signs up a few months in the fall and then only put them back out around April.
I was told to remove my lawn sign today as it was not allowed. I seen lawn signs about voting campaign and thought it was okay. A neighbour complained and I needed to remove it. I was asked to send a letter to the condo board to seek approval. I am sending a letter to them today, however would also like your help to understand the importance of the lawn signs. We have driver`s that come in very fast and their are a lot of children playing, we just want to remind people to look and slow down. I also have a son who is autistic and though I watch him carefully he does tend to run out into the parking lot as he does not understand the dangers. If my hands are full of groceries I try to get him to follow me, but he has run out before and I dropped everything to get him. I would have the signs up a little in the fall and then again sometime in Spring, Summer. Thank you for your consideration of signing this petition. I`m watching out for the safety of our children.
